Subject : Guidelines to conduct six months pre-sea training course for Graduate Entry Scheme for Nautical Cadets..

The Graduate Entry Scheme as Nautical Deck Cadet was notified vide M.S. Notice No. 21 of 2008 (No. 7-NT(6)/2008) dated 16.10.2008. The Syllabus for the Six Months Pre Sea Course for Graduate Entry Cadet is attached herewith at Annexure -3 of the course guidelines.

The modular courses i.e. PST, PSSR, FPFF & EFA are part of the six months course as reflected in the course guidelines notified in M.S. Notice 21 of 2008.

The examination may be conducted by the respective institute themselves.

The pattern of Certificate will be approved by this Directorate at the time of inspection/scrutiny of documents.

This course will commence on 1st February and 1st August of every year.

The candidates under this scheme will undergo Shipboard Structure Training Programme through DGS approved DLP Service Providers. The record book will be provided by the DLP Service Provider which has been approved by the Directorate.

The Institutes who are fulfilling the requirements specified in DGS Order No. 2 of 2007 only are eligible to apply for this course.

All the training institutes who are eligible to apply may submit complete proposal in accordance with DGS Order No. 2 of 2007, along with non refundable processing fee of `.50,000/- for processing the request for approval of this Course on merits.

The above guidelines shall come into force with immediate effect.
