REGIONAL OFFICE (SAILS)
The Regional Office (Sails) established at Mumbai, Jamnagar and Tuticorin. The RO (Sails) regulates standardisation of trade by securing cargo and elimination of mal practices, registration of Sailing Vessels, issuance/renewal of identity cards to sailing vessels crew, repatriation of stranded crew in other countries due to sailing vessel casualties etc.
The office is headed by the Regional Officer (Sails) and assisted by the supporting staff and functions under the administrative control of the respective MMD (HQ).
